Radon Testing

Radon Testing

Testing can be conducted by the homeowner with inexpensive testing kits that can be purchased online your through certain State Agencies.  These kits will sit in the home for several days then will be sent off to a lab for analysis.  If levels are found to be within the EPA’s recommended guidelines, no action may need to be taken.  However, radon levels can fluctuate in a home throughout different times of the year, and it is recommended that testing be done at least every two years.  If levels are found to be outside the EPA’s recommended guidelines of 4 PiC/L, mitigation is recommended to be performed by a certified mitigator.
